    Recent graduates of the Maine Cooperative Extension training series Strengthening Your Facilitation Skills are available to offer facilitation services to local groups in Biddeford, Saco, Old Orchard Beach and surrounding communities.

    Citizens Fire Academy
    The Citizens Fire Academy, a free six-session series of classes held by the Saco Fire Department, will begin Oct. 1, 2014 and run every Wednesday through Nov. 5. The CFA is open to Saco citizens 18 years and older. For more information and to apply, follow this link.

    Recycling drop off container removed from train station area
    Due to abuse, the "silver bullet" recycling container has been moved to the Public Works Department, 351 North Street. Access will be limited to normal working hours.

    Trash Can Be Beautiful: A community art project
    The Public Works Department will be hosting a "Trash Can Be Beautiful" program at the Saco Sidewalk Arts Festival on Saturday, June 28. Help us decorate trash cans to beautify the city
