    Commercial disposal of leaf and yard waste
    Notice to contractors: As of May 1, there will be a $5/yard disposal fee for all leaf and yard waste.

    Compost will be available for sale to residents beginning May 1 at the cost of $3/cubic yard at the Foss Road transfer station.

    Pedestrian bridge wins award from Associated General Contractors
    The Mill District Pedestrian Bridge was selected for a 2015 Build Maine Award by the Associated General Contractors of Maine.

    Simpson Road culvert proposals
    The City of Saco has received four proposals for the rehabilitation/replacement of the culvert on the Simpson Road. You may view the proposals, as well as a third-party review of all four by CLD Engineers and related documents HERE.

    Somesville Bridge Replacement
    The Somesville Bridge spanning the Saco River between Pine Street in Biddeford and Market Street in Saco will be replaced beginning April 20. Construction is expected to last about a year.

    Citizen input sought on new building for Young School
    The temporary fix that was put in place 12 years ago was only intended to last for eight years. The Saco School Construction Committee is researching a replacement and would like your input via the survey below.

    2015 Saco Citizens Police Academy Tours York County Jail
    The Saco Police Departments 5th Citizen Police Academy toured the York County Jail on March 25, 2015. The tour was given by Sheriff Bill King and was very revealing.
