Saco PD welcomes a new member
Meet the newest member of the Saco Police Department! Not that he'll shake your hand...though he just may! We'd like to introduce you to Ranger, a Belgian Malinois, who is currently undergoing training with his handler, Patrol Officer Nick Stankevitz.
Work will close part of Beach Street from June 15 - 26
Therefore, the section of Beach Street from Locke Street to the railroad overpass (adjacent to Washington Street) will be closed to thru traffic from June 15th through June 26th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Renew your boat registration online
This new service allows you to register your Boat (vessel) online with the State of Maine. Upon completion of your transaction, you will receive a temporary registration form to print for immediate use. Your official registration and stickers will arrive at the specified mailing address within ten business days.
Find city documents easily, online!
A new website feature now allows citizens to search through an extensive archive of city documents that include agendas, minutes, reports, plans forms and much, much more. The "Find-A-Doc program is easy to use and could very well save you a trip to City Hall.
Help a fellow citizen
A Saco citizen is looking for helping finding an electric mobility scooter. This person has posted their request in the Saco Swap Shop, the free forum for residents looking to find new homes for items they no longer want. If you can help, check out the Swap Shop.
Community garden coming
The Parks and Recreation department is working on setting up a community garden, starting next year. If you'd like to learn more, click on the link above.
GIS MAPPING
You can now research property lots through the city's Geographic Information System (GIS) maps. Just follow this link. Note: This will take you off the City of Saco website.
